PRIVACY NOTICE

Your information.

How The Scale Hack handles website enquiries and contact information.

Last updated: 23 October 2026.

Who to contact

Paul Wingfield, trading as The Scale Hack, is responsible for the personal information used to handle enquiries. Contact paul@thescalehack.co.uk with questions about this notice or your information.

What we collect and why

When you contact us, we receive the name, email address, company, area of interest and message you provide. We use these details to respond, understand your requirements and discuss potential services. Please avoid including sensitive personal information or confidential customer data in an initial enquiry.

We process business enquiries for our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us about our services. Where you ask us to take steps towards a contract with you, we use the information for that purpose. Submitting an enquiry does not subscribe you to a marketing list.

How the enquiry form works

The form sends your details to FormSubmit, which processes the submission and forwards it to our business email inbox. FormSubmit states that it retains submissions for 30 days. Its spam protection uses Google reCAPTCHA. You can instead contact us directly by email or telephone.

See FormSubmit’s privacy information and Google’s privacy policy for their handling of technical data, cookies and processing locations.

Other service providers

Our website hosting and email providers process information needed to deliver the website and our correspondence. This can include technical information such as IP addresses and access logs. We do not sell enquiry information or use it for automated decisions about you.

Keeping information

We keep enquiry correspondence while it is needed to respond and manage any resulting business discussion. Information that is no longer needed is deleted, unless it must be retained for a contractual, accounting or legal reason. If you become a client, any additional data handling requirements will be addressed as part of the engagement.

Cookies and external links

We do not add advertising trackers or analytics cookies to this website. External services, including FormSubmit’s submission and spam-check pages, may use their own cookies. Links to LinkedIn and other websites are subject to those services’ privacy policies.

Your choices and rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can request access to or correction of your information, ask for deletion or restriction, object to processing, or request portability. Email Paul using the address above. You can also raise concerns with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
